Our loyal Vault Hunters are in for a treat today. Post-sludge outfit Siberian are back with an expanded lineup and a new live in the studio EP. For those not familiar with the group from Linköping, Sweden, they play a unique form of American-influenced sludge and post-metal that’s every bit as raw and angry as it is pensive and melodic.
Back in 2014, Siberian released their theme-based debut album Modern Age Mausoleum, the first chapter in their Siberian’s Age trilogy, based on an Orwellian view of modern society. They followed that up with the second chapter Through Ages of Sleep, which explored the subconscious mind in dreams. Recently, the band has evolved even further by expanding their lineup from a three-piece to a quintet and have been steadily focused on writing new material. To debut the new lineup, they’ve put together a live EP recorded at Studio Underjord in Norrköping, Sweden, which we’re thrilled to share with you today.
Watch their performance of the whole EP below and be sure to pick it up from The Sign Records. It dropped today so go do it right now!
