2019 Mid-Year Extravaganza: The Best of 2019 So Far…Part IV

Since 2019 is half over, we thought now would be a good time to share some of our favorite metal releases of the year so far. What’s your top ten? Let us know in the comments below.

Bryan Coffey (Editor in Chief)

My list is pretty doom/stoner heavy, which is to be expected, considering that most of the new music that I listen to is for consideration in the Doom Charts. But I managed to add a few releases outside of the genre as well as some solid local albums that came out this year. I also had several that were very close to making the cut that will probably end up on my year-end list. But if we’re talking just my top ten, here it is unranked.

Conjurer – Sigils

Crypt Trip – Haze County

Liquid Signal – Neuronicae

Dirty Dead – Nocturnal Emissions

The Devil and the Almighty Blues – Tre

Gold – Why Aren’t You Laughing

Dreadnought – Emergence

Duel – Valley of Shadows

Spirit Adrift – Divided by Darkness

Idle Hands – Mana
