Black metal outfit Crimson Moon have been bestowing their infernal occult orchestrations upon the masses for a quarter of a century now. Initially starting in the United States as a solo project from multi-instrumentalist Scorpios Androctonus, it was later turned into a full band after Scorpios moved to Germany. After several full-length releases with mythological themes revolving around necromancy, vampirism, and sorcery and a sound rooted in traditional black metal, the band has established themselves as one of the more notable acts in occult black metal.
Following up last year’s well-received comeback album Oneironaut, the band is now set to deliver their fourth full-length, Mors Vincit Omnia next week via Debemur Morti Productions. Fans of the group will revel in the eight new hymns of unhallowed bleakness in honor of the Angel of Death, Azrael. Translated to “death conquers all,” Mors Vincit Omnia boasts guest appearances from Proscriptor (Absu), Lord Angelslayer (Archgoat), Ixithra (Demoncy), and Phaesphoros (Kawir) with stunning artwork from Daniele Valeriani (Dark Funeral, Dissection, Archeron). Fans can also rejoice because even though we’ve still got another week before Mors Vincit Omnia’s release, you can listen to the whole album right now by simpling scrolling down!
Mors Vincit Omnia will be released on CD, vinyl, and digital formats on August 30th. North American preorders can be placed here, and European preorders can be found here. For digital orders, visit the Debemur Morti Bandcamp page.
